Airbrush Paintings:
My choice of subject for the paintings, whether flower, tiger, or horse, is to explore the paradoxes found in these living things. There are contradictions within the same subject.
My medium is transparent colorfast acrylic paints applied in multiple
glazes with an airbrush to create the luminosity and 3 dimensionality evident in the paintings. Utilizing current technology, this technique resembles that
employed by the old masters using the brush and transparent oil glazes.
A permanent matte fixative finish is applied as a final step. All paintings are unframed, completed on archival Clayboard panels, with a support (cradle) to prevent warping.
